How often should I clean out my skimmer baskets?

At least once a week! 

The skimmer baskets function as a collector for large pieces of objects in the pool such as leaves, debris, twigs, toys, etc. Especially during the fall and summer, you can expect leaves to the ocean into your pool. Sometimes, smaller objects get into the skimmer too! Like balls or goggles. When these objects are stuck without notice, it can reduce the efficiency of your pump. Thus, it is recommended that you clean them out once every week or even better, twice every week!
